Releases

These are the stable versions of RouteConverter that I'm trying release every two months. Due to the problems with API Keys in the Online Edition, here this is the mapsforge, BRouter/GraphHopper, Geonames/Nominatim/Photon, OpenSource-based Offline Edition of RouteConverter:

All files have a size of about 25 to 30 MByte.

Java

RouteConverter has been written for Java 7 and Java 8. If you're using an older Java version please download and install the latest Java:

Install Java

Mac OS X

Since Mac OS X 10.7.5 and 10.8 there is an anti-malware feature of the Mac OS X operating system called GateKeeper. This prevents RouteConverter from running directly after a download because RouteConverter is not in the Mac App store and it's not digitally signed by me. Please follow this procedure (more details):

  • set the GateKeeper settings to 'Anywhere'
  • start RouteConverter
  • set the GateKeeper settings back ('Mac App Store and identified developers' is the default)

You only have to do this once every time you're using a new RouteConverter version.

Usage

There is no installation necessary. To start the program just double click on the file you've downloaded. If an ZIP-Extractor like WinZip or PowerArchiver is started upon that, please have a look at the FAQ.

Online Edition

For users that have no concerns with Google and its Maps API an Online Edition of RouteConverter exists:

TimeAlbum Pro

For users of Columbus GPS devices, there is TimeAlbum Pro which was co-developed by RouteConverter and Columbus:

Command line

For command line lovers, batch files or the integration into other services: RouteConverterCmdLine.jar (4 MByte).
