Geotagging photos
The Photos tab matches your photos against the open position list by timestamp and writes coordinates into the photo files.
What geotagging does here
RouteConverter compares each photo's timestamp with the positions of the open list. When a position matches, tagging writes that position's coordinates into the photo.
Add photos
Add Photos. The photos appear as rows in the list.
Taggable and not taggable
A photo is taggable when a position matching its timestamp exists. It is not taggable when it carries no GPS data and no position matches its timestamp. The status column shows which. The summary line above the list counts tagged, taggable and not-taggable photos.
Filter the list
Only taggable Photos and Only not taggable Photos narrow the list to one status.
Tag them
Select the photos, then Tag Photos. Progress is reported while it runs.
Remove photos from the list
Delete removes the row from the list. It does not delete the file on disk.
Why a photo will not tag
Two causes are usual: the photo's clock and the recording's clock disagree (different time zone or an unset camera clock), or the position list does not cover the time the photo was taken.
