The Maps dialog

Pick the map shown behind the route, and manage offline maps stored on this computer.

What it does

Choose the map that appears behind your route. The dialog lists online maps and offline maps already downloaded to this computer.

Online and Offline

The two tabs work independently. The Online tab lists Maps available online:. The Offline tab lists My Maps: (already downloaded) and Maps available for download:.

Show a map

Select a row on either tab and press Display. The same button appears on both tabs and activates the chosen map for the route view.

Download a map

On the Offline tab, select rows under Maps available for download: and press Download. Under Complete Coverage the dialog offers to fetch matching data for the same area alongside the map — routing data, elevation data and POI data, each as its own checkbox, and each offered only when that data exists for the selection. Downloads run in the background — see Downloads.

Remove a map

Select a map under My Maps: and press Delete. This removes the downloaded file from this computer.

Close

Press Close to close the dialog. The chosen map applies immediately.
