Insert positions

Add positions between the ones already selected, either along the calculated route or along the straight line.

Choose what to work on

The Selection: row shows the selected positions of the position list. Select All selects every position; Clear Selection removes all selections.

Insert from the routing

Insert positions from the routing between the selected positions. fills the gap with positions along the calculated route. Press Insert to add them. This requires a routing service that can return a route for the segment.

Insert along the straight line

Insert a straight-line position every N meters between the selected positions. places points along a direct line. Press Insert to add them. This is useful when no routing is wanted or available.

Where the result lands

Inserted positions appear in the position list between the selected ones. See The position list.
