A Flightradar 24 .csv file is a single flight's track exported from the Flightradar24 live flight-tracking website — one row per recorded position, with timestamp, callsign, coordinates, altitude and speed.

History

Flightradar24 was founded in 2006 by two Swedish aviation enthusiasts and opened to the public in 2009, letting anyone with an ADS-B receiver contribute data to the network. The CSV/KML per-flight export feature described here was added later as a subscriber tool, not part of the service's original 2006/2009 launch.

Where it is used

Available to Silver, Gold and Business tier Flightradar24 subscribers from an aircraft's or flight's own page, downloaded with a single click alongside the equivalent KML export.

Structure

A comma-separated file: a Unix-epoch timestamp column, a UTC-formatted time column, the aircraft's callsign, a combined "latitude,longitude" position column, altitude in feet, ground speed in knots, and heading in degrees.

How widespread

Flightradar24 is the largest ADS-B flight-tracking network in the world, with more than 40,000 connected receivers and several hundred thousand flights tracked daily; its CSV export is an actively used, currently available subscriber feature.
