Navigon: file formats and how to transfer routes
Navigon routes come from MobileNavigator on Symbian, Windows Mobile, Android and iOS, and from Navigon's own PNDs. The Cruiser variant belongs to Navigon Cruiser, the motorcycle-oriented app.
Formats Navigon reads
| Format | Extension | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Navigon (recommended) | .cruiser, .freshroute, .route, .rte, .storage, .txt | Routes and favorites from MobileNavigator and Navigon PNDs, plus the Cruiser variant. |
Which format to pick
Pick the Navigon variant that matches the app generation: the Mobile Navigator entries are numbered by version, and Cruiser has its own entry.
How to get a route onto Navigon
- Open the route, track or POI file in RouteConverter via File → Open.
- Pick Navigon Mobile Navigator in the Save as dropdown.
- Save it via File → Save as. Copy the saved file to the device or app storage; where the folder differs by version, use the vendor's transfer tool.
