About RTZ Route Exchange (.rtz)

RTZ is the maritime route exchange format standardised as IEC 61174 (ECDIS) and published by CIRM: an XML route of waypoints with latitude/longitude, turn radii, cross-track limits, leg speeds and an optional schedule of arrival times. RouteConverter reads both the 1.0 and 1.1 namespaces. Read and written by ECDIS bridge systems and voyage-planning software; the zipped .rtzp package variant, which bundles attachments, is not supported.
